Quality Control with Six Sigma Method to Minimize Polyester Fabric Product Defects at PT Sukuntex

Quality control needs to be done face industrial competition. PT. Sukuntex is a textile industry that produces fabrics, one of which polyester with 58% production from the total fabric production. has make order system, company carries out quality by inspecting every produced in division. In this study, an analysis using six sigma method DMAI (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve) steps determine DPMO value, company's level, causes defects, and improvements. The results study found 3 dominant defects based on Pareto diagram, namely thin thickness, sparse, dirty oil. calculating result 49,825.15 meters value obtained 3.15. can increase improvement. Therefore, were analyzed fishbone diagram resulted human, machine, method, environmental factors. FMEA-AHP for improvement priorities, where FMEA analyzes ranking then prioritizes weights AHP. Improvement plan 5W+1H at improve stage.
